Interview conducted by Alan Cherry as part of the LDS Afro-American Oral History Project of the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on 3 June 1987. Biggs talks of her early church and school experiences in Selma, Alabama. She tells of her move to Birmingham, Alabama, her courtship, marriage, and her involvement in the civil rights movement of the 1960s. She discusses her conversion to the Mormon church, its influence on her life, and comments on the experiences of other black Mormons.
